We believe software should be transparent. Here is exactly how we handle data across our web tools and mobile applications.
The Short Version
- 01.Web Tools: Our image and text tools run entirely in your browser. We never see your files.
- 02.Histopia: We store your game progress and profile data securely so you can play across devices.
- 03.No Selling: We do not sell your data to data brokers or advertisers. Ever.
- 04.Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics to see which features are popular, not to track you.
Our Web Tools (Zero-Knowledge)
Our suite of developer utilities (including Image Compressor, CSV Converter, Regex Generator, and Word Counter) operates under a Client-Side First architecture.
This means:
- When you upload an image to compress, it never leaves your device. The processing happens inside your web browser (via WebAssembly/Canvas).
- When you paste text for analysis, it is processed locally in JavaScript memory.
- We do not have servers listening for these file uploads, and we cannot view your content even if we wanted to.
Cabin Mobile Apps (Histopia)
For our mobile applications like Histopia, we act as a traditional service provider. To allow you to save your progress, unlock achievements, and compete on leaderboards, we must store specific data on our secure servers.
Data We Collect in Apps
- Account InfoEmail, Username (for authentication)
- Game StateLevel progress, unlocked items, currency
- Device InfoOS version, device model (for bug fixes)
Infrastructure & Subprocessors
We are a small team, so we rely on industry-standard infrastructure providers to keep our services running securely. We share data with them only for the purpose of hosting and operating the software.
- Vercel: Web hosting & Edge Functions.
- Google Firebase: Authentication & Database.
- PostHog / Plausible: Anonymized usage analytics.
Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, we extend GDPR-standard rights to all our users. You have the right to:
- Export: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Correction: Fix any inaccuracies in your account data.
- Deletion: Request total deletion of your account and associated data. (Note: This is permanent and will wipe game progress).
